C. Alex Tucker, CPA

Alex began his career in taxation in 1999. Alex’s role at Faulk & Winkler as a tax partner encompasses a range of duties that include preparing and reviewing tax returns for individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary clients; implementing tax planning strategies; crafting tax training presentations; and developing a team of staff accountants on short and long-term projects.
Alex brings a diverse background to Faulk & Winkler with experience in both the public and private sectors. Alex began his professional career with a statewide accounting firm and as a Tax Senior, was recruited to work for Albemarle Corporation in 2006. In his eleven years at Albemarle, Alex transitioned from Senior Tax Accountant to Director of Global Tax Accounting and Transfer Pricing, and this experience now enables him to meet a wide range of client’s tax needs at Faulk & Winkler.
Alex is from Baton Rouge and attended Episcopal High School. As a child of two physicians, he understood the value of continued education, driven work ethic, and family. Growing up, Alex was a bit of a collector – rocks, stamps, baseball cards – which has evolved into an ongoing collection of knowledge benefitting our clients.
Alex spends his free time with of his family and friends. Alex and his wife, Rebecca, allocate the bulk of their leisure time to their sons, Christian and Hayes. Alex is an avid runner and boasts a personal best in the marathon distance of 3:02, qualifying him for the Boston marathon. Alex and his family also enjoy LSU football, travel, snow skiing, fishing, and hunting.
